Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
These terms govern your use of MOTvault, the garage-management software provided by PDL MOTs & Repairs Limited (company no. 07506352), Gloucester, UK ("MOTvault", "we"). By starting a trial or subscribing, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
MOTvault is web-based software that helps garages create quotes, take bookings, send MOT reminders, take payments and manage customer records. We provide it "as a service" over the internet and improve it over time.
2. Free trial & subscription
- New garages get a 30-day free trial. No payment is taken during the trial.
- After the trial, the subscription is £149 per month (plus VAT where applicable), billed monthly.
- There is no setup fee and no minimum term — you can cancel at any time, effective at the end of your current billing month.
- We'll always tell you before your trial ends.
3. Your responsibilities
- Keep your login details secure and don't share your account.
- Use MOTvault lawfully, and only send messages to customers who expect to hear from your garage.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the quotes, prices and information you enter and send to your customers.
4. Your data
Your data is yours. You can export it at any time, and we handle it as set out in our Privacy Policy and our data processing agreement. You remain the data controller for your customers' information; we are the processor.
5. Availability
We work hard to keep MOTvault available and backed up, but we can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted. We may occasionally need to perform maintenance.
6. Third-party services
Some features connect to third-party services you choose to enable (for example SMS sending, card payments and accounting). Those services have their own terms, and the garage is responsible for its own accounts with them.
7. Liability
MOTvault is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
8. Ending the agreement
You can cancel any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms or doesn't pay. On cancellation you can export your data for a reasonable period before it is deleted.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
